Mukesh Ji’s journey began amidst the serene surroundings of Rishikesh, nestled in the embrace of the Ganga and under the watchful gaze of the Himalayas. Raised in this spiritually rich environment, he developed a deep connection to the ancient practices of yoga from a young age.

After completing his engineering degree, Mukesh Ji ventured into the corporate world, but his innate spiritual calling led him to seek a different path. Returning to his roots in Rishikesh, he immersed himself in the study of Yoga Vidya, learning directly from esteemed Yoga Gurus through dedicated practice. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Mukesh Ji pursued a Master’s degree in Yoga while residing in a traditional Gurukul setting. Equipped with profound insights into the philosophical underpinnings of Yoga Sutra and Hatha Yoga, as well as expertise in Pranayama and Hatha Yoga practice, he embarked on a journey to share his wisdom with others. For several years, Mukesh Ji dedicated himself to teaching yoga in Rishikesh, honing his craft and nurturing a deep understanding of the discipline. His expertise soon garnered recognition, leading him to share his teachings abroad, enriching the lives of students around the world. Driven by a desire to create a sanctuary for spiritual seekers, Mukesh Ji returned to Rishikesh and established Rishikesh Yoga Sharan, a haven where individuals could delve into the transformative practices of yoga under his guidance. Today, Mukesh Ji’s specialization in Yoga Sutra Philosophy, Hatha Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, and Hatha Yoga practice continues to inspire and guide countless individuals on their journey to holistic well-being and self-discovery

Ritu is a passionate scholar dedicated to exploring the intersection of science and yoga. With a diverse educational background, her journey led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree with majors in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the natural world.

Driven by a deep curiosity she furthered her studies by obtaining a Master’s degree in Applied Yoga from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidhayalaya (DSVV, Haridwar).
Currently, she is on a path of academic excellence, pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Research and Yoga from University of Patanjali, Haridwar. Her research focuses on generating scientific evidence for yoga practices.
She is deeply engaged in exploring emerging research and methodologies, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional yogic wisdom and contemporary scientific understanding.

Beyond academia, she actively engages in outreach programs, workshops, and seminars, sharing her expertise and fostering a deeper understanding of yoga’s transformative potential.
With her unique blend of academic rigor, Ritu is poised to make significant contributions to the evolving landscape of yoga research and its application in promoting human health and wellness.
